What took so long?

To put it simply, our website was originally not built with blogging in mind. The Studio Countdown website was developed with no support for proper templates - so changing the design of blog pages would involve changing every blog page individually. All changes to the website previously required writing and re-writing large chunks of code which was inefficient and obviously not very practical for blogging. To fix this issue, we had to re-make large parts of the entire website from scratch. This version of our website might look the same, but the entire backend (the part you don’t see) has been overhauled.

Why didn’t we do this earlier?

The past few months have admittedly been somewhat hectic here at Studio Countdown, and we wanted to make sure any major workloads unrelated to actual animation would only start once at least a rough plan for the next 3 months was laid out.
